Overview: A rain check policy is in place at [Cardinal/RedCrest Golf Club] to ensure fairness and satisfaction for our valued golfers when inclement weather affects their play.  This policy outlines the guidelines for issuing rain checks and their redemption.

Issuance of Rain Checks:

1. Suspension of Play: In the event of severe weather conditions (heavy rain, Minimum continuance of 60min. lightning, etc.) that lead to the suspension of play, rain checks will be issued.
2. Timing: Rain checks will typically be issued when a player has completed less than nine (9) holes of their round. 
3. Notification: Our staff will announce the suspension of play due to weather conditions and provide instructions for obtaining rain checks.
4. Automated Notification: In cases where play is suspended and the golfer has pre-booked a tee time, an automated notification will be sent via email or text message regarding the rain check issuance.

Redemption of Rain Checks:

1. Validity Period: Rain checks will expire 1 year (365days) of the date issued.
2. Booking Tee Time: To redeem a rain check, golfers must call our Pro Shop to book a tee time for the desired day and time.
3. Availability: Rain checks are subject to tee time availability.  Golfers are encouraged to book in advance to secure their preferred time slot.
4. Applicable Fees: If the rain check was issued for a paid round, the rain check will be credited for the value of the original round.
5. Refunds: Rain checks have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.

Lost Rain Checks:

1. Responsibility: It is the responsibility of the golfer to keep their rain check safe and secure.
2. Replacement: Lost rain checks will not be replaced or reissued.

Special Circumstances:

1. Group Bookings: For group bookings, the rain check policy applies to the entire group, with each player receiving a rain check if play is suspended before the completion of nine (9) holes.
2. Tournament Play: Rain checks will not be issued for tournament play unless the tournament is officially canceled by the golf course management.

Exceptions:

1. Sudden Weather Changes: In cases where weather conditions drastically change after play has begun (e.g., sunny skies turning to heavy rain), rain checks may be issued at the discretion of the Golf Course Manager/Director.
2. Course Closure: If the course is officially closed due to unplayable conditions, rain checks will be automatically issued to all affected players.
3. Emergency:  In cases of emergency situations, such as medical emergency needing medical attention or incidents while playing, rain checks may be issued at the discretion of the Golf Course Manager/Director.

• Please note that Rain Checks will NOT be issued in cases of:
• Change of plans or personal schedule conflicts
• Preference for a different tee times or delay of play
• Personal issues or reasons unrelated to weather conditions
• Phone in requests

Cancellations must be completed at least 48 hours before your tee time to receive a full refund or 24 hours in advance to receive a full credit. Must provide proof of purchase. To cancel your tee time please contact the pro shop in-person or by calling 905-841-7378. Failure to properly cancel or change a reservation will result in a no-show or short-show classification. You will be responsible for any applicable charges in the event of a no-show or short show per the applicable golf course’s policies. No-shows will forfeit their deposits if applicable. Cardinal Golf Group reserves the right to cancel or move your tee time(s) booking over 14 days. CGG will do their best to communicate well in advance and to make alternative booking arrangements.

Cardinal Golf Club will not be responsible for lost or stolen personal property while on the premises.
